About MapQuiz
MapQuiz is a free blank-map geography game for pupils, students and adults. The maps are built from the public-domain Natural Earth data.
Why MapQuiz
A blank map is the fastest way to learn where things are. MapQuiz combines two proven formats: typing names against the clock, as on JetPunk, and finding places on the map. It works as well on a phone on the bus as on a classroom whiteboard.
Where maps and names come from
Borders, coastlines, rivers, lakes and mountain ranges come from Natural Earth, which is in the public domain. Slovak and English names are based on Wikidata (CC0) and corrected by hand. The maps show the situation on the ground and take no position on disputed territories.
